“To love God and to love thy neighbor. These are the great commandments, the first and formost. To love God is an emotion in the heart, it is a thing built upon experience, over a lifetime. To build love is to spend time with our Father. To spend time in his presence. Just as to love a person in an emotion of the heart built over time by sharing life, by giving eachother time. Love must overflow from our hearts at God’s grace, how can it not? Necessarily we will desire, out of an ever growing love, to share God’s grace and love, and to share our own grace and love. To love God is to give him time. To sit on the porch rocking in a white rocking chair talking about his beautiful creation, to talk about life, to ask him questions, to listen quietly for his whisper in the wind. To love God is to ponder your life and discern his providence, to ask him for things needful for us and for those we love.”
